I'm doing a trade in later on a local store and probably going to pick up some games and I'm a massive Forza fan. Doing some research it looks like Forza Motorsport 1-4 were only out on Xbox 360 and they aren't backward compatible on Xbox one, I actually have a series X so presumably this would still count as true that I can't play those games on this machine? We have reached the limits of our ability to add additional games to the catalog due to licensing, legal or technical constraints. Yeah dig your old 360 out and put it in, it works. But the way emulation works things need to be renegotiated for use on newer hardware. Yep. That's why certain games took forever to be made backwards compatible because publishers either had to renew music rights or cut out the content that had expired contracts. I’d honestly be surprised if we never saw the original Forza Motorsport given backwards compatibility, given it was basically the foundation of an awesome series, that has not only went through to FM7 currently, but also ended up producing the open-world Forza Horizon series too!
